Maximoff Twins Headcanons (Pt 1)

• When Pietro is being annoying Wanda tunes him out. She is not immune, she just literally cannot hear him anymore, but he has no idea. This is why she appears so calm when he is being a little shit.

• Pietro whining for Wanda to use her powers to grab him food because he can’t be bothered to get up. Wanda sometimes doing so, sometimes telling him to get off his ass and using her powers to shake his chair until he does so.
  

• Pietro buying Wanda nice jewellery from the market stalls like rings and bangles and earrings because this is what he remembers their father doing for their mother and Wanda when he was alive. (The only piece of jewellery Wanda owns which is not from Pietro is her mother’s necklace with the red stone which was recovered from the rubble of their apartment building.)

• Wanda having to tell Pietro off for being too reckless and Pietro looking outraged because he is 12 whole minutes older excuse you. (But Wanda still being the boss because come on that woman is in control here). 

• Pietro being vain as hell and working out in a blue blur, spending ages (for him) in the bathroom, checking himself out in the mirror. Wanda not commenting on it, just giving her little tut and smiling proudly.

• Wanda promising that she would never read Pietro’s mind without his permission. (He only asks her to when he wants to prove he hasn’t actually done whatever reckless thoughtless spur-of-the-moment dangerous thing she thinks he has). (But he usually has done the thing).

• Pietro and Wanda going for a run to stay fit and Pietro shouting encouragement every time he runs past her. (Which is many many times). 

• Wanda sending objects flying at Pietro when she’s angry because she knows there is no way they will hit him. Pietro catching them in the air and then placing them in annoying and inconvenient places in retaliation. 

• Pietro being far too overprotective and getting cocky and mouthy with the disrespectful catcallers on the street. He also throws punches. At very slight provocation. (Because no-one disrespects his sister).

• Pietro buying Wanda red clothes because he thinks it would be so cool if they had clothes linked to their powers. (He is vain as hell, he wants them to match, to balance each other out, to look like a proper double act). (This is why he threw Wanda the red jacket in Age of Ultron)

• Pietro appearing almost immediately in Wanda’s bedroom when he hears she is having a nightmare.

• The twins having conversations via Wanda’s telepathic powers. Pietro providing a less than flattering, hilarious commentary, about those they meet and Wanda fighting to keep a straight face.

• Pietro singing loudly and terribly in the shower. Wanda telepathically warning him that she will turn the water icy cold if he does not stop, it is three in the morning, can a girl not get some peace?

• Wanda sensing exactly when her brother is feeling low and going to sit with him.

• Pietro sensing exactly when his sister is being eaten up by her powers and distracting her by playing the fool and making her laugh.

• Wanda’s most non spoken telepathic word sent directly to Pietro is: no. Closely followed by: Pietro. Frequently used together in the phrase: “Pietro, no!” 

• The twins appearing strange and eerie to people because they are completely in tune and often holding private conversations using Wanda’s telepathic powers.

• The twins having wordless telepathic arguments and the only signs being Pietro’s arms crossing over his chest and Wanda’s giving Pietro The Look. (The look that means: “I have known you all your life, now stop being stubborn and listen to me”). 

• Pietro always rushing to Wanda after an argument to check she is not too upset.

• Wanda only laughing properly with Pietro, and Pietro feeling like the proudest person ever when this happens. 

• Pietro secretly wanting to be a hero and so dedicating himself to protecting Wanda. 

• Wanda secretly wanting a stable life and a home and so dedicating herself to subtly guiding Pietro and tempering his recklessness and arrogance.

• Pietro and Wanda only being able to sleep if they are in close proximity. (Because Pietro gets nightmares about the apartment collapse and Wanda can lose control of her powers at night). 

• Wanda singing the old Sokovian lullabies their mother used to sing to Pietro in his mind to help him get to sleep.

• Wanda cooking for the pair of them and being thrilled when Pietro likes her meals because the calm and domesticity soothes her. 

• Pietro looking at the picture of their parents every single day, Wanda scared to do the same because she’s worried seeing them for real will disrupt her precious memories.
